Candlewood Suites Kansas City Northeast by IHG

Getting there was a little confusing, maps took us across the interstate and down the outer road then crossed back to come down a one way road to the hotel to find out it took us right past the street that goes in the back of the place. Not their problem, a mapping problem. It was a beautiful place, awesome indoor heated pool, very nice rooms. Place was clean. Staff were polite and respectful. Not a lot of parking for.the location but was good enough for our needs. I would return to this place and highly recommend it. We didn't get there until late, around 9 p.m. and left early the next day.

Lynette at the front desk was funny & fabulous. The beds were decent. The fridge was not that cold, even on the highest setting & the ice maker barely put out ice. We also had issues with the air. The fan on the A/C unit wouldn't stay on no matter what we did. It kept kicking on & off throughout the night & woke us up multiple times, as it was a little noisy. The shower had good water pressure. The kitchen was well equipped. It would have been nice if there was a table & chairs to eat (or play cards) at. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

Overall great experience at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and the room was nice and spacious. Only dislike we had was that there was no roll away bed available for our youngsters, but the staff did provide extra pillows and blankets to make up for it. Other thing to know if you're staying for more than one night but less than a week, there is, no daily housekeeping. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Overall good experience and I would definitely stay there again.

Friendly ladies at front desk is great but I'm really enjoying how clean the ladies leave the rooms every time I return to the area. It looks and smells clean. The pool is warm and clean . I could keep going but I don't wanna make this review too long.

I had an amazing stay at Candlewood Suites, the room was a good price for being a little spur of the moment. Getting to the location was relatively easy and was in a great spot for the things I had planned. Right when I walked in Lynnette greeted me so kindly and efficiently, I had no questions she covered everything I could have needed. My room was clean, and I loved having all the ammenities of home. We took a dip in the pool at night which was nice, although it seemed the pool needed a little cleaning. Around midnight I made use of the self serve food and drink kiosk which I found to be incredibly well stocked and convenient for a night owl like myself. Great stay overall, no big complaints!

The hotel rooms are pretty outdated. There was clear water damage on the floor(broken tiles and such) in the bathroom and the cover on the cushioned chair made the room feel dirty. The room was well equipped in the kitchen area and the shower, and we enjoyed having a/c control which was reliable. The staff were kind and the location was great for us. What keeps it at 5 stars rather than 4 despite the latter is that it was very affordable while not being sketchy or truly concerning. I probably will choose somewhere else in the future unless they give the rooms an update.

The hotel is clean, it in itself is similar to all hotels. It doesn't have a continental breakfast, but I stayed for almost 3 months worth of work trips because of the staff. Especially the women who work the front desk. All staff is exceptional and friendly and made it so wonderful everytime I came. I'd recommend to anyone because the details and help and making sure you're taken care of was priceless! Deeply grateful and will definitely go out of my way to visit again!
